Work Permit – LMIA

The Canadian government’s priority is to ensure that the job positions available in the labour market are filled by Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents. However, to cover the shortage of manpower, Canadian Companies that are eligible can get an approval from Service Canada to hire Foreign workers that are qualified to work in those vacant job positions.

The interested company must make you a valid job offer and once the company obtains a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), you will obtain the Work Permit for a period of at least 2 years, which will help you to obtain Permanent Resident status in Canada. The employer must agree to apply for this process and submit the supporting documents for it. WCCIS would assist them throughout the process.
